What is hair wax suppose to be like?

I am new to this hair stuff, so i recently bought some molding wax.


I only had it in my hair for like 5-10 minutes but I noticed that, unlike hair gel, that this stuff doesn't permanently stay put.


Like my hair stays put, but if i touch it i am able to change it.


Is it suppose to be like that or did i just not give it enough time? Because i go through some physical stuff during the day, and I wouldn't want my hair to get messed up haha.

wax isnt meant to hold it very well
Wax gives your hair a more natural look, so yah I dunno what you were expecting, but it's supposed to be like that. Use hairspray afterwards. Gatsby wax is the shiz, gel is crap. But I'm bias. Look up gatsby wax on youtube.
