Household borax from the chemist!Help! Can't get the overdose of wax out of my hair, used Fairy liquid but still there. Any suggestions?
Try washing power not liquid or radox bath powder, it's a trick my old aunt has been using for years.
WET THE HAIR VERY SLIGHTLY DONT SOAK IT GET SOME ORDINARY WASHING POWDER AND RUB IT IN ,MAKE SURE YOU DONT MISS ANY ....LEAVE IT FOR A FEW MINUITS THEN RINSE,THEN SHAMPOO THE HAIR AS NORMAL TWICE BUT DONT USE CONDITIONER.HER HAIR SHOULD THEN BE WAX FREE.X
Go to any chemist and ask for a clarifying shampoo it removes the build up of hair products from the hair, you may need to wash and rinse it with this shampoo a couple of times if there is a lot of wax on your hair.
Cover ur hair in talcum powder and leave over night, then wash twice with shampoo but dont use conditioner, this should work.
Bed Head by TiGi,, Manipulator, shampoo, claims to defunk the gunk, and it does I use lots of wax and hairspray,it gets it out and smells absolutely wonderful,,,,powerful so no need for conditioner,,,never use detergents like wash up liquid on hair,,,most good salons sell this,,but always at Toni and Guy
biological washing powder will work. make sure you are using warm water to open the cuticle to make sure it removes all residue and do not apply conditioner until your sure wax is removed as conditioner closes down cuticle sealing wax in making it much harder to remove.I'm a hairdresser and this is the advice i would give to my clients if they got carried away with wax
Use hair conditioner on the area. You will have to apply it more that once since there is a lot there it just just take time to get it out.
