What happens if you put hair product e.g gel, wax, clay then straigten your hair?

is it possible that it will spike up if you straighten upwards, im scared to try, might burn my hair, im a 14 yr old guyWhat happens if you put hair product e.g gel, wax, clay then straigten your hair?
I do this often. I use hairspray in my hair everyday. If you put a product in your hair; wax, hairspray, gel, and then straighten after it will go exactly how you want it.





BUT, it's extremely bad for your hair. Every product contains chemicals, and due to the enormous amount of heat on your straightenrs, it will burn the chemicals right into your hair. It's better for you not to do it because it will damage so easily.What happens if you put hair product e.g gel, wax, clay then straigten your hair?

you can try.. it won't make you bald or anything and prob the effects will go when you shower :P





but why do u need to straighten you hair?





u might wanna heat protect spray, straighten and then gel/wax/clay it :P

hairdressers do it all the time to give that polished sleek look! howver i think my colleges are mad ,as products contain alcohol which is flammmable -dont take the risk - so many people have set fire to their hair just by lighting a cig - id be careful
Do put gel or wax or whatever before you strraighten it, you will melt it and burn your hair!

Sorry, I'm in a jackass sort of mood...
well we tried this on a cousin and firstly it won't straighten the hair aswell as it would without the product.secondly it'll leave burn marks on your straightener aswell as a bad smell.straighten your hair first then apply the putty etc.
ypur hair will burn, it will evaporate the gel/hair product and take away all of the natural oils in your hair. straighten first, gel later
i wouldn't try it cuz the product would make your hair ';wet'; which is not good for the straightener cuz then your hair like ';sizzles';

I had some wax product and straightened it and it worked.
Straighten upwards first and then use the product, best to use something extra strong hold if u want spikes.
How come there are no really punked out haircuts on the show cops. Will they ever create a punk episode of cops?


How dangerous is just for show?
don't put gel in ur hair then straighten it cause it won't work, it would frizz up or something, but u can straighten it after puttin wax in it tho :)
get a comb lil bit of gel n spike it up , do not straighton it , 70% chance you`ll singe or burn your hair,

No, my friend tried that his hair is kind of long. did NOT work, a straightener is not the answer
try using mousse instead it will hold your hair and not make it greasy
